The Kobo Libra 2 has a rotation sensor and page buttons the Paperwhite has a flush front screen and it adds support. Each device has a few unique features the other doesn’t. The Kindle Paperwhite 5 starts at 139 for the 8GB model, and 32GB Signature Edition sells for 189. Aesthetically it doesn't help shake that clunky feel and you'd think all this would be better off hidden away on the bottom edge of the device. Surprisingly, Kobo places the microUSB port and unsightly fine print along this bulging side edge of the reader for all the world to see. For those who’d prefer numbers, it’s 144.6 x 161.6 mm for the Libra 2 while the Paperwhite 5 measures 124.6 x 174.2 mm. While it's not as slick as the Kindle Oasis, the latest Kobo is certainly light and comfortable to hold in either hand. The main selling points of the Kobo Libra 2 are the high resolution display which are great for reading ebooks.
You might choose to leave Natural Light set to 20 per cent all the time, to help the screen look more like a paperback page than clinical sheets of printer paper, but don't push it too far past 50 per cent or the page turns an unnatural shade of orange.
